Dua lipa is a English singer and musician born on August 22, 1995, from London United Kingdom. After working as a fashion model, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album entitled "Dua Lipa" in 2017. The album peaked at 3rd place on the U.K. Albums Chart and produced eight singles which included Be The One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. Number One song New Rules which peaked at sixth in the United States. Lipa's album, which is now been recognized as Platinum in several countries across the world was awarded two Brit Awards (in the year 2018) in the categories of British female single artist and British Breakthrough Artist. Dua Lipa, who was born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London Born on 22 August 1995. She is of Bosnian descent through her maternal grandmother. Also, her ancestors come from Peja, which is a Kosovo town Peja. Lipa's grandfathers were both historians. Lipa is the younger sister of Rina Lipa, and has an older brother called Gjin. Lipa was influenced musically by her father who also serves as the lead guitar player and the singer of The Kosovan band Oda. She was influenced by her father's music, which included his original compositions, as well as songs such David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa was just five years old when she started singing. When she was in her 9th year she was singing in Sylvia Young Theater School.
